The CI proudly serves as the host for the North Atlantic Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, a collaborative network connecting federal agencies, universities, and research organizations to address coastal resource management challenges. Through this partnership, the CI fosters interdisciplinary research, provides funding and experiential opportunities for students and faculty, and advances solutions for climate adaptation and coastal sustainability.

The CI Senior Fellows Network is an interdisciplinary community of over 200 scholars and practitioners dedicated to advancing coastal sustainability. Through collaboration, funding opportunities, and mentorship, the network enhances URI’s research capacity while addressing critical coastal challenges.
