The Coastal Institute provides a range of grants to invest in trans-, inter- or multidisciplinary research/outreach in keeping with the Coastal Institute’s mission. Grants are not limited to the University of Rhode Island (with the exception of Grants-In-Aid); rather, they are evaluated on the basis of how the investment enhances the efficacy of pure and applied research relative to the state of the coastal zone.
