The Coastal Institute is excited to announce the 2024 Emerging Coastal Leaders, recognizing exceptional URI graduate students advancing innovative solutions to coastal challenges. These students represent diverse fields, including marine affairs, biological oceanography, and ocean engineering, and are committed to impactful careers in coastal, marine, and estuarine science and management.

- Xiaoyi Zhao, Ocean Engineering
The awardees will be honored at the Coastal Institute Mid-Year Meeting on Thursday, December 12th, featuring an award ceremony and presentations from last year’s Emerging Coastal Leaders.
