Provide a short paragraph stating why the project is best administered by the Coastal Institute.

This proposed effort fits well with the guiding priniciple of the Coastal Institute that reads, "Dialogue among all stakeholders is a key element in managing coastal ecosystems. Vigorous discussion and debate provide a diversity of potential solutions to complex environmental issues in coastal ecosystems." We will incorporate information into a web-based platform, so that the data can be viewed and accessed by the public. In addition to using the MyCoast portal, we will explore other ways to incorporate information into existing platforms, such as the Rhode Island Shoreline Adaptation Inventory and Design (SAID) project of the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council. This information can inform a broad range of community resiliency efforts. It is important to ensure that the information is easily accessible so it can be used by the citizen scientists or decision makers to understand and communicate concerns, or as evidence to move forward to propose actions at a specific site.
