This regionally-coordinated lobster research and outreach effort seeks to bring the RI lobster industry's knowledge and
cross-learning to help the stock and research efforts. The project will advance knowledge about lobsters and ensure the
southern New England stock (in poor condition) is better understood. The C.I. mission of conservation and cooperation
amongst diverse and relevant stakeholders is in direct alignment with this proposed effort. In addition, the "citizen Science"
application of bringing lobstermen's observations to the research community speaks to this mission.
