| Provide a short paragraph stating why the project is best administered by the Coastal Institute. | The NSF EPSCoR RII Track-1 proposal is an interdisciplinary project to build research capacity across the state of Rhode Island. At URI it involves faculty and students from the Colleges of Engineering, Arts & Sciences, the Environment & Life Sciences, and Business as well as the Graduate School of Oceanography. The indirect cost allocation for EPSCoR is unique; the VPRED allocation includes the college portion. No indirect costs are formally distributed to the colleges or departments. |
