I am interested in promoting the use of integrated coastal management tools to foster sustainable coastal communities at the local, state, national and international levels. Activities and programs that I am engaged in include applying coastal scientific research, growth management and regional visioning techniques and public-private partnerships to achieve coastal management goals. My interest areas include coastal processes and habitat changes and anthropogenic impacts on these systems. I have been active in public service, serving on the town council, zoning board and conservation commission in the coastal town of South Kingstown, RI and in conserving coastal habitats as a trustee of the South Kingstown Land Trust.
