I have research or applied expertise in the following areas: Human Dimensions of Coastal Ecosystems; Fisheries Policy/Fishing Communities; Sustainable and Local Seafood; Offshore Renewable Energy; Marine Spatial Planning. I also have a particular interest in stakeholder participation and the public process related to the above-mentioned issues.

I am an active member of both the coastal management community through my work with the Coastal Resources Center, and the marine and coastal research community. In particular, I bring a knowledge of the human dimensions of coastal and marine policy, and fisheries in particular. Through my work at CRC and Sea Grant, I bridge the research, policy, and resource user communities.
