Sara Stevens Nerone

Sara has worked for the National Park Service Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Program for over twenty years and is the Northeast Coastal and Barrier Network (NCBN) Program coordinator for eight national parks from Cape Cod NS to Colonial National HP in Virginia. Sara along with her staff collect, analyze, and manage a variety of ecological data for these eight parks, providing the information to the park managers to support their conservation and management decision making. Before working for the National Park Service, she worked as a biologist for the State of Massachusetts and completed her graduate degree at the University of Rhode Island, focusing on tropical mammals of the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest. Sara has administered over $25 million dollars in scientific studies in National Parks. On a personal note, Sara and her two daughters also founded and run a non-profit supporting underprivileged youth in Vietnam.
