Biography
Oliver Tiliouine is a Ph.D. candidate in Marine Affairs at the University of Rhode Island. He holds a masters in Climate Science and Policy from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a BSc in Geography from University College London. He is a mixed methods researcher using geographical information systems, climate, and social sciences to explore the evolution of the law of the sea with respect to the impacts of a changing climate. Particularly in recognising and challenging the ways in which more vulnerable members of the ocean governance system are overlooked and/or exploited. Oliver hopes to continue working on leading, and taking advantage of, opportunities to challenge inequities in the global ocean governance system.
