Mateja Nenadovic

Biography

Mateja is an interdisciplinary scientist with a keen interest in understanding the fisheries governance arrangements that lead to sustainable and resilient social and ecological outcomes, as well as the conditions under which they occur. His primary foci are on small-scale fisheries (SSF), governance arrangements that underpin them, marine conservation tools, social capital, and participatory arenas in decision-making. His work is closely tied with the CI’s mission and some of its fundamental principles, such as sustainability, integration, and learning and adaptive management. Mateja looks forward to engaging with the CI to which he can contribute with his expertise in governance of marine social-ecological systems.
