I have conducted several research to better understand/predict coastal (and inland) flooding and erosion, and storm risk in the northeast of the US including RI coastal waters. I am also collaborating with social scientists in Coastal Resources Center (GSO) as well as Marine Affairs (CELS) as a combination of engineering and social science is the best ways to address coastal issues.

Coastal Institute is dedicated to similar goals of management of the coastal ecosystem and increasing the interaction and partnership between people and agencies that have interest in coastal zone.
