I am broadly interested in environmental and natural resources issues, that can benefit from GIS and remote sensing, including issues relating to coastal areas. With my recent move to URI, I hope to expand my research areas to include coastal environments through collaboration with researchers in the Coastal Institute. I envision my contribution to the Coastal Institute would be through leading or supporting grant-funded research projects affiliated with the institute which would lead to presentations, publications, and practical products for decision makers. I expect my expertise in GIS and remote sensing would be beneficial for a variety of projects involving coastal issues.
