Interested in coastal restoration and mitigation, both from a research and a practitioner aspect. Strong background in nutrient dynamics and biogeochemistry/benthic pelagic coupling. Also very interested in the interstitial spaces between science, policy, management, pedagogy and outreach, and how improving our ability to interface between these topics can move the field forward and increase political willpower to devote resources to tackling the problems of the 21st century.

I think there are a lot of areas where I can contribute, ranging from direct scientific expertise to networking and interfacing between organizations, to developing, updating, and delivering outreach materials. I am also an on base seated civilian contract scientist for the United States Navy based at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. I think there is substantial value in bringing the NUWC perspective to the table as a "Narragansett Bay Neighbor" and collaborator, and I would be happy to serve as a liaison in that role.
