As manager of the Napatree Point Conservation Area in Westerly, RI, my interest is ensuring that visitors enjoy a visit to Napatree without impacting the plants, animals, and processes that define this ecosystem. I strive to base my management decisions on objective scientific data and long-term monitoring of the ecology of Napatree. I also believe that the long-term future of our natural areas lies with today’s youth; therefore, educating our youngsters of the need to be respectful stewards of our coastal ecosystems is an important priority for me.
