My main interest is in coastal processes and how they are impacted by climate change. Over the years I have monitored areas for shoreline changes, including beach accretion and erosion, dune formation and loss, bluff failure. I have also been documenting increased coastal flooding of low lying coastal areas and the subsequent changes to those areas. As a coastal manager I worked with communities and individuals to incorporate natural infrastructure and processes into restoration opportunities. Currently I am working on coastal public access issues with researchers at the URI Coastal Institute.
