Biography

Geubrina Fajria is a Ph.D. student in Biological and Environmental Sciences at the University of Rhode Island. Her research focuses on geospatial analysis, machine learning, and water-quality modeling to understand how nutrient inputs affect the health of watershed and coastal ecosystems. She quantifies nutrient loadings to Narragansett Bay and identifies critical source areas to inform nutrient-reduction strategies, restoration priorities, and policy design. Geubrina has trained students on water-quality instruments, guided fieldwork, and collaborated with community partners on water-monitoring initiatives. She is committed to bridging research, stakeholder needs, and environmental decision-making to support resilient and sustainable coastal ecosystems.
