For the past 22 years I have accomplished research in coastal and island groundwater. My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Sea Grant, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. National Park Service, U.S. Geological Survey, the U.S. Navy and the Smithsonian Institute. I have received four Smithsonian Fellowships awards for research on groundwater and mangroves of the Belizean Barrier Reef.
