From 2011 to 2017, Watershed Counts reported on environmental and human health in Narragansett Bay and its watershed through accessible science, using data-supported case studies, and profiles of people and communities. It was co-coordinated by the CI and the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program (NBEP) with support from a broad coalition of over 70 agencies and organizations.
Watershed Counts responded to a need for better public information regarding the health of the Narragansett Bay watershed, and how human activities and climate change impact its health. Watershed Counts was phased out once the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program completed its Status and Trends Report, The State of Narragansett Bay and its Watershed.
