GreenFins, LLC: a scientific review of the feasibility of a private-public partnership to research and raise yellow fin and blue fin tuna between GreenFins, LLC and the URI Graduate School of Oceanography; recommendations were presented to the Provost of URI and the Deans of the Graduate School of Oceanography and the College of Environment and Life Sciences.
GreenFins LLC, a proposed public-private partnership with the University of Rhode Island, was assessed by an ad-hoc review committee that was organized and chaired by the Coastal Institute Director. This committee assessed the feasibility of the proposal and considered constraints and options at each phase of development. A summary report was provided to the University of Rhode Island Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Graduate School of Oceanography Dean to assist in their decision-making process.
