Having worked for twenty years in the fields of applied mathematics, engineering and ocean modeling, I am very interested in combining this experience along with my studies in physical oceanography to further our ability to understand the coastal environment. I am attracted to coastal issues both because of the complexity of the problems and the critical need to better understand, manage and protect the coastal environment. My current interest is the application of autonomous vehicles and sensors to the study of estuarine circulation.
