Biography
Aida Pauls is a PhD candidate in the Environmental and Natural Resource Economics department at the University of Rhode Island’s College of Environment and Life Sciences. Her research focuses on fisheries economics, particularly consumer willingness to pay for innovative and sustainable seafood products in New England. She works closely with local fishermen and seafood consumers to support resilient coastal food systems and make economic research accessible to the broader community. At URI, Aida has taught graduate courses and founded a mentorship program connecting graduate and undergraduate students in the ENRE department. She is also a recipient of the NOAA NMFS–Sea Grant Marine Resource Economics Fellowship.
