Biography
Sarah Kienle is an Assistant Professor of Wildlife Biology at the University of Rhode Island and PI of the Comparative Ecophysiology of Animals Lab (CEAL Lab). As a comparative biologist, Sarah’s research integrates concepts from ecology, physiology, behavior, evolution, and conservation. Her research centers on apex predators and their response to environmental change. Much of her lab’s work has focused on seals, sea lions, whales, wolves, and coyotes. She has studied wildlife in North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, and Chile (so far!). Her research group collaborates with researchers, managers, and citizen scientists in academic, non-profit, government, and volunteer organizations worldwide to study and protect wild animals and their wild homes.
