The 2023-2024 URI Coastal Institute (CI) Highlights Report marks the CI’s 25th anniversary and showcases its dedication to advancing coastal resilience through research, partnerships, and community engagement. Key achievements include awarding over $219,000 in grants to Senior Fellows, expanding Climate Response Demonstration Sites, and launching the Emerging Coastal Leaders Program for graduate students. Under Director Dr. Elin Torell’s leadership, the CI continues to drive research excellence and strengthen URI’s role in addressing coastal challenges.
