Biography

Emily Cribas is the Inclusive Science Communication Program Specialist at Metcalf Institute. She is a first-generation Honduran American who completed her PhD at the University of Pennsylvania last fall studying immune-microbe interactions in the gut. Her primary, overlapping interests are around integrative health, equity, and the environment. At Metcalf, she leads all equity-centered science communication programs for students, faculty, and community-driven practitioners, including training workshops and the biennial global Inclusive SciComm Symposia. She is interested in coastal issues from an equity lens and sees herself contributing to the CI by informing training programs for graduate students and staff that center inclusion and equity.
