Given the importance of the Rhode Island commercial summer flounder (fluke) fishery and its capacity to provide long-term, sustainable harvest opportunities, the University of Rhode Island, in collaboration with the RI Department of Environmental Management and the RI commercial fishing community,held a forum to consider options for managing the fishery.
