Join us for a one-day workshop to discuss current monitoring efforts in Narragansett Bay, prioritize gaps that need to be filled to achieve comprehensive monitoring, and identify opportunities for new data collection or novel synthesis approaches.

We invite participants who currently conduct monitoring in Narragansett Bay or along its coasts to briefly present on their efforts. More details are provided in the RSVP survey and Nicole Rohr will follow up with those who indicate they are interested in presenting.

The workshop will be followed by a RI Environmental Monitoring Collaborative meeting, which is open to the public.

The Coastal Institute will provide coffee and bagels in the morning, hot and cold beverages throughout the day, and a fruit assortment in the afternoon. Please bring a bag lunch or if you’re in a hurry, order one from Roch’s (link to http://www.rochs.com/markets/narragansett/) on Rt 1-A before the entrance to Bay Campus or visit D’Angelo’s in the OSEC Building.

This workshop is sponsored by an Environmental Protection Agency Southeast New England Program Grant to the RI Department of Environmental Management with subaward to the Coastal Institute at URI, and it is hosted by the Coastal Institute at URI. The workshop also serves as an official RIEMC meeting.
