Large Conference Room of the Narragansett Bay Campus

The purpose of the annual SSEER workshop is to share resources and provide training to improve the ability of scientists, administrators, communicators, and first responders to assist the state of Rhode Island in addressing environmental emergencies and threats to public health and safety. One area of focus this year will be Chain of Custody (CoC). This workshop is co-sponsored by the Coastal Institute, the RI Department of Environmental Management Office of Emergency Response, the Environmental Data Center, and local partners.

Beverages, snacks, and lunch will be provided.

The Coastal Institute maintains a roster of university and statewide expertise and resources that could assist the state in responding to an environmental emergency, and provides oversight, direction, review and implementation of the SSEER agreement with RIDEM.

Please forward to those who may be interested in attending, which includes graduate students.
