My primary interests are in landscape ecology, GIS/remote sensing, and analysis of environmental monitoring data and I am specifically interested in the application of geospatial science and landscape ecology to coastal and marine issues. Examples of my past research include assessing the accuracy of land use/land cover area estimates from the National Land Cover Dataset, exploring how scale influences the relationship between landscape structure and estuarine condition, and predictive modeling of estuarine sediment metal concentrations.
